Do you care about keeping our lands and waters healthy? Do you want to make sure our children and grandchildren have good jobs and opportunities?

You can help shape the future of the southeastern Interlake.

Tell us what areas should be protected and what type of development you want to see in our region. We will use your comments to design a balanced conservation plan that reflects the needs and values of our region.

Find out more about the Fisher River Cree Nation Conservation Areas Initiative in this online information session on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 7-8:30 pm and make sure your voice — and views — are included.

*** Participants will also have a chance to win some great door prizes like Co-Op grocery gift cards and cozy fleece blankets (just in time for cool weather)! ***

FRCN Chief David Crate will present opening remarks and be available to answer your questions during the discussion. You will also hear from Ron Thiessen, Executive Director of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society’s Manitoba Chapter.

The online meeting will be streamed live on Facebook so be sure to register on the event page so you don’t miss it. Please contact us at [email protected] if you would prefer to participate over Zoom.

This initiative is led by Fisher River Cree Nation in partnership with Peguis First Nation and the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS). The initiative has the support of the province of Manitoba and the government of Canada.
